The principles of the Natural Approach are:

1) student should be speaking at least 80% of the time during the lesson

2) students are taught from inception to ask questions as well as answer them

3) classroom instructions are conducted exclusively in the target language

4) comprehension proceeds production, i.e. listening and reading proceeds speaking and writing

5) reading at early stage
